Toxocara canis common name
WebToxocara canis or T. cati are ascarid nematodes in the order Ascarididia, superfamily Ascaridoidea, family Toxocaridae. The adult forms of both ascarids live in the upper digestive tract of their definitive hosts, canids and felids, respectively. Female worms may produce up to 200,000 eggs per day.
