WebMay 29, 2011 · My cub will get stuck in gear on occasion. Take off the top cover of the gear shift. Take a large screwdriver. Align the forks in the middle or natural position, and put the gear shift cover back on and you’re good to go. The problem is most likely, that rust has formed between the clutch disk and the flywheel. It won't pop loose on its own sitting there.
